Yes, beyond crazy. Sadly I don't find the video anymore, there has been a good "Spiegel-TV" report about that a few years ago. It's called "the Swedish model".
The whole nonsense started because they wanted to abolish prostitution. So far, so good. But the whole nonsense is based on the assumption that only female sexuality is good, while male sexuality is devilish. (The then Minister for Family Affairs said publicly on television that sex is always rape and that all men, without exception, are always evil.)
So they made a law that you can only have sex when the female explicitly says yes. One hiccup, though: The woman is always to be believed. So when she afterwards (or after 20 years - Meetoo), decides she was raped, the man is screwed. Even if they are married, together since forever etc. - doesn't matter. So the law does not require a written consent, but basically that's the only safe possibilty (they even do have apps for that
).
At the same time, they massively tightened the laws against prostitution. Only for men, of course. Selling sex is still allowed, but buying it is illegal. Johns and pimps go to prison for 6 years. And they have massively exaggerated it: the pimping crimes are so extensive that they also include prostitutes who e.g. give each other a ride in the car or live in an apartment together, landlords or hoteliers are also punished. Prostitutes are victims only, therefore can't be punished and Johns are considered to be rapists therefore need to be punished. This ultimately pushes the prostitutes into illegality. They know that, but for ideological reasons they want it to be that way in order to combat the alleged rape. You simply don't want prostitution, but you don't want to attack prostitutes because women are sacrosanct.
This had tow side effects:
On the one hand, these contracts of consent are considered prostitution. So men are completely dependent on the goodwill of women; they have no legal way to protect themselves. -> A lot of native Swedish males left the country the last ten years.
On the other hand: They succeeded!! They got completely rid of prostitution and trafficking in women. I read somewhere that there are 5 prostitutes in Stockholm, and 5000 in Olso. The downside: Unsurprisingly they have the highest rate of rape worldwide. I mean, the penalties for actual rape are the same as going to a prostitute. And they have imported millions of ass-lifters.
Feminist ideology at its best.
