Police: Security guard rapes 15-year-old in theater after he promises to watch her



A man was arrested after he allegedly sexually assaulted a teenager that he promised to look after in an empty theater.

Augusta J. Williams, a movie theater security guard, was charged with one count of armed sexual battery on a victim less than 18 years old.

Police say that a 15-year-old was dropped off by her mother at a movie theater where she met with her friends. Once the movie was over, the grandfather of one of the victim’s friends would not give the victim a ride home, according to reports. The victim also tried to call her mother but could not reach her.

Williams reportedly offered to watch the victim until she found a ride home. He allegedly led the victim was to an empty theater where the sexual assault happened.

The victim told police that she was “fearful because Williams was armed with a gun.”

After the assault, Williams allegedly “threatened her not to tell anyone.”

While using an ultraviolet light at the scene of the reported attack, police allegedly found “areas that exhibited a glow, indicating a possible positive response for evidence.”
