Johnny Charles Ebbs V accepted a plea deal with eight years of deferred adjudication on a third-degree continuous family violence assault charge
Police said that Ebbs assaulted his pregnant girlfriend, LaShonda Lemons, and then hospitalized her in Austin in 2019. KXAN reported that Ebbs punched Lemons in the stomach and yelled, “F*** you and this baby! You aren’t going anywhere!” The child tragically died three days later due to blunt force trauma.
Ebbs will now be required to wear a GPS monitor for six months and will not serve any jail time. “Very concerned that the sentencing does not result in safety for the survivor and the community,” domestic abuse advocate Coni Huntsman Stogner said.

I thought animal cruelty was illegal. I suppose there’s no laws against animals fighting to the death or killing other animals, since it’s just nature for them to kill in the wild. Not sure. These were invasive species though so I feel no different about this than a whale eating plankton.

I call bullshit. Like there's actually a ghetto buck who knows who his forebears are for five consecutive generations. Does not compute.
