MEMPHIS, Tenn. - FOX13 obtained shocking video which shows young children joyriding in a stolen car.

The incident happened this past weekend in Raleigh and it's just the latest example of an ongoing problem - teens stealing cars across the city.

"Parents, come get your kids. Please," said Ebony Heath, the wife of the man whose car was stolen.

She told FOX13 that her husband's work vehicle had cameras inside of it and the video captured on those cameras showed five children joyriding in his car.

Her husband parked the work vehicle, a 2018 Kia Soul, in front of their home around 12:15 a.m. Sunday morning. Surveillance video shows several people hanging out in front of the vehicle. Just an hour later, the car was gone.

"He came back with a stressed look on his face," Heath said. "I'm like, what happened? He said somebody stole his work car."

While her husband was stressing out about his stolen vehicle, five children were cruising around Raleigh, even appearing to drink and vape while on their midnight drive.

The children took turns driving the stolen vehicle, going at least 80 miles-an-hour in a 45-mile-an-hour zone.
