I'm from NM, and I call bullshit. We NM racists would have called them "mayates" or "niggers", not "colored people".

So what’s the problem? Non whites refer to themselves as persons of color. I was with a Hispanic doc in an elevator, returning from a patient transport. She referred to herself as a “woman of color”, naturally the smart ass nurse, (me), retorted that I too was woman of white color. Bahhhh, Chiquita was ��.
