    Tech companies are racist

Overall, the program is nice for those who can't afford to get into those areas, but if you don't have the expertise you shouldn't get a free pass.

Of course, in Silicon Valley, where companies are flush with cash and sorely lacking in diversity, employers might be more likely to invest in a program like Year Up than employers in other parts of the country. Year Up is providing a service that is of real value to them, helping them diversify their ranks. But in many parts of the country, there are lots of middle-skill jobs that are going unfilled, which means that the Year Up model is not uniquely suited to the labor-market conditions in the Bay Area.
Yes, because Asians, Indian Americans, and others with high IQs that go there to work are 'white'. No one complains that Korean or Japanese companies are lacking in diversity.

They also have some random chick being a database admin.

Lacking diversity my ass. It's full of Europeans and Asians from all backgrounds. Eurasia is very Diverse. They speak a ton of different languages and eat tons of different foods.
