15-year-old Brianna Higgins killed after shooting in Olathe

A 17-year-old boy was taken into custody in connection with the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old girl in Olathe earlier this month.

Police said Tuesday that the boy was taken into custody, but didn’t release any other information, according to Sgt. John Moncayo, a spokesman for the Olathe Police Department.

After Brianna Rachelle Higgins was shot on Jan. 19 around 10:51 p.m., a group of unknown people drove her to Olathe Medical Center.

The shooting happened at Clarion Park Apartments in the 16900 block of West 127th Street.

On the day of the shooting, Brianna’s aunt Ashley Gray told The Star Brianna was asleep at her Lawrence home when two acquaintances woke her and told her to go out with them.

OLATHE, Kan. (KCTV) - An Olathe teen has been charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of a Lawrence 15-year-old.

Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe announced on Monday, Feb. 5, that Davon D. Washington, 17, has been charged with second-degree murder and juvenile in possession of a firearm in connection to the death of Brianna Higgins, 15, of Lawrence, on Jan. 19 in Olathe.

Hard to be 100% positive, but I assume it is. "Washington" (along with Lincoln and Jackson) is one of the most commonly appropriated human names, stolen by no-surname Africoon groids and Tobys, although I would bet a considerable sum not one of the nogs could tell you who George Washington was.
