Another murder-suicide as Tiffany pays the toll

The identities of the victims of the shootings have been released.

In Sunset, the murder victim is identified as Tiffany Miller of the Opelousas area. The suspect of the homicide and victim of suicide is identified as Joshua Alfred of the Lafayette area. Iberville Parish detectives said a note was left by Alfred concerning his former girlfriend which confirmed this was a case of murder/suicide.

In Opelousas, a verbal confrontation occurred at a residence between the homeowner’s father, former police officer Tim Ledee, and the homeowner’s girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend, Thomas Breckney, authorities said. The argument escalated whereby the parties both produced weapons and fired at each other. Ledee succumbed to his injuries on scene and Breckney transported himself to a local hospital for treatment. Breckney is still being treated for injuries as a result of the altercation. Detectives are still gathering information on the motive and facts surrounding the incident.
