True. But it started with Merkel who embraced the green/feminist ideas. And yet the majority still votes for that politics: Two weeks ago there have been state elections in Bavaria, the only party against socialism & mass immigration got a mere 17%. (And the state of Bavaria is considered to be "the most conservative state of Germany", as far as I know.)
