lock open. A sneaky change in NY state law had cops arresting people for ordinary pocket knives for several
years, and in both NYC and NY state, any knife they could somehow snap open with one hand - even holding

objections of almost every county prosecutor's office. Still, carrying any knife in NY for protection is illegal, so you never
admit to that. The law is wildly open to interpretation. NYC is the worst, and cops look at your pockets, or for a belt clip,

for safety. Train and bus stations are considered the same as airports, and have even more restrictions than NYC cops
