Elon Musk ridicules Black Twitter staff and antiracism activists

Whutchooo mean ahhh kints take a 3 hour lunch!
Elon Musk has appeared to mock antiracism initiatives by Twitter’s own staff, as well a Black Lives Matter more broadly.

Mr Musk appeared to laugh at T-shirts that had been made by Twitter’s internal business group for Black employees.

He then criticised Black Lives Matter protestors. He said that the shirts stemmed from the protests in Ferguson, Missouri, and that those protests were misguided.

“’Hands up don’t shoot’ was made up,” he said. “The whole thing was a fiction.”
Mr Musk’s tweets began when he seemingly found a set of T-shirts with the message “#StayWoke” written on them.
Those shirts were made by Twitter’s “Blackbirds” group. When it started selling the shirts, in April 2016, Blackbirds said that its mission is to “support and promote diversity at Twitter, create a more inclusive work environment, and enrich communities outside of Twitter”

Elon Musk Belittles Black Twitter and His Black Employees

Musk’s right-wing leanings haven’t been a secret, nor it is a surprise that a man who owes his lifelong privilege to being the scion of a white family that owned jewel mines in apartheid-era South Africa might might at the least not be empathetic to Black victims of state violence in the U.S. But his open belittling of Black Twitter and the company’s employees is a different bag: the platform he’s remaking—or destroying, depending on who you ask—has at the very least been a crucial space for the development of the most recent iteration of social justice movements in the United States. It’s potency for amplifying messages is unrivaled—and that’s before you get to the role the company played in the careers of some of its Black execs.
