I watched 'the sandman' on Netflix as I enjoyed 'lucifer' and hoped lightning would strike twice.

All in all I liked it but noticed a LOT of black characters, mostly female, had been racejacked*.

I checked the comic which I'd never read abd found that most of the female cast had been racejacked. The ones I remember were:

The librarian was turned from a white man to a black woman.
The vortex, her mother and grandmother had all been racejacked.
Dream's sister Death was racejacked.
Constantine's girlfriend went from white to black.
The woman who gave the man a lift to his ruby was racejacked, and not murdered as the white woman was in the comic.
The vortex's young brother was turned black.

Oddly enough no evil characters were put in blackface. Gee I wonder why...
