While everyone looks for solutions, Kevin McCamant said he's taking drastic measures.

A psychologist by training, the city resident spends much of his time in the 700 block of North Rose Street in east Baltimore. Water is his nutrient while he hungers for peace.

"My hunger strike is to stop the homicides, and what I'm trying to do here is make a statement that I'm willing to put my life on the line for the lives of the people who are being killed, and for that matter, the lives of the people who are doing the killing," McCamant said.
