Sister Of Lincoln University Student Charged With Killing Jawine Evans In Campus Stabbing
here are new developments in a deadly stabbing caught on camera inside a Lincoln University dorm. The sister of a student is now facing charges, including first-degree murder.
The Chester County district attorney believes the murder was premeditated, saying the defendant drove an hour and a half from Northwest Philadelphia with a knife, stabbing three people on campus and leaving one of them dead.
Jawine Evans, a popular senior who was known for his basketball skills, is now being mourned.
Williams’ alleged killer, Nydira Smith, is behind bars. Officials say last Wednesday, the 39-year-old called Lincoln University worried about her brother after his roommate possibly stole items from a group of students. By 9 p.m., she presented her ID at the front gate.
Cellphone video shows Smith with a bright-colored hat, in the middle of a squabble. Soon after Evans stumbles away, visibly injured
“She stabbed me,” one person said during the video.
The artery in his neck was severed.
