Hempstead was niggerville when I was a kid, as we found out one day when out riding our bicycles. We got lost, and blundered
onto the wrong block. We saw some darkies, then heard a big commotion start, not realizing what it was. Next thing we see is
a whole tribe of porch and stoop monkeys chasing us, heaving bottles, bricks and rocks. My friend Lloyd got hit in the head as
