Raiders receiver Henry Ruggs will be charged with DUI in deadly car crash

A player on the Las Vegas Raiders is facing DUI charges for a fiery car crash Tuesday that left a woman dead and another woman injured.

Henry Ruggs III, a wide receiver for the Raiders, allegedly drove his Corvette into the back of a Toyota Rav4 at approximately 3:39 a.m. in Las Vegas Valley.

The front of Ruggs’ Corvette was crushed. Video from the scene shows the Rav4 engulfed in flames. An eyewitness told TMZ two men stopped at the scene and tried to put out the fire with an extinguisher, but were unable to do so.

Police found a deceased 23-year-old woman in the Toyota and plan to charge Ruggs with DUI resulting in death. LVMPD confirmed he “remained on the scene and showed signs of impairment.”

Djordje Tintor and his parents are simply “destroyed” after his younger sister was killed after former Las Vegas Raiders receiver Henry Ruggs III crashed into her car earlier this week.

The woman, Tina Tintor, was 23.

“I almost can’t even look at [my parents],” Djordje said Thursday, via USA Today. “Every time I look at them it just breaks my heart.”

Ruggs, Las Vegas police said, was driving down a residential street at 156 miles per hour with his girlfriend around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning when he crashed into Tina Tintor’s car. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
