The dogs were seized for protecting their own territory.Just like your weapon would be seized if you used. It to defend yourself.That’s a law I do not like. If you were in the right and someone else was trespassing in your home or threatening your life, why should your property be seized?

A lot of police chiefs don't like it when the citizens prove they can take care of business, and they seize property
to show everyone who's boss. If you have a pistol permit here in Nassau County, there's an icon on the police
car's navigation system showing that there's a gun in your house. Any kind of a confrontation at your address,
and they're confiscating that gun, and getting it back is your problem. When we had a giant wing-ding with my
brother's bunny boiler stalking my elderly parents, one of the first questions was do you have any guns in the
house. "Just say no" is the only response to that one. They're asking that so they can grab the guns, if the stalker
gets a beating, which she deserves, and they won't do anything to prevent. Instead, she gets the 5 gallon "Therapy
bucket" of cold water, and the cops just tell her, "Go dry off", and "Don't go over there", which I appreciate.
