Two key words here : Mariiner's Harbor. That sow is in the briny deep. The killers usually weight the corpse,
but it bloats after several days, and surfaces not too far from where it went in. The tides around NYC take the
stiff out, and bring it back, for quite a long time. This one might be mistaken for a dead whale.
