Federal judge tosses Bronx gun case over racial makeup of grand jury

A Manhattan federal judge dismissed a case against a reputed gang member in a shooting last year — because the suburban grand jury that indicted him wasn’t diverse enough.

In a 36-page ruling, Judge Analisa Torres said defendant William “Ill Will” Scott “produced clear statistical evidence” that he was indicted by members of a grand jury pool in White Plains with an “underrepresentation of Black and Latinx individuals.”

Scott, 43, is charged with being a felon in possession of ammunition tied to the seizure of three, .380 Eldorado-brand shell casings following a caught-on-camera shooting in which the victim was shot twice in the leg.

Scott is a reputed member of the Bloods gang who allegedly opened fire outside 765 E. 183rd St. amid a dispute with the 36-year-old victim, who lives on the block, law-enforcement sources said.

Someone here please correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as the charges being dropped, I don't think this means that the charges can't be refiled and resubmitted to another grand jury. I don't believe this works the same as being found not guilty by a jury.

Jury of peers doesn't apply here either since there was no trial so the nigger can't claim that either. That would be bullshit as well even if it was a trial.

Judges like this need to be disbarred.


NY Judiciary Law §90(2):

The supreme court shall have power and control over attorneys and
counsellors-at-law and all persons practicing or assuming to practice
law, and the appellate division of the supreme court in each department
is authorized to censure, suspend from practice or remove from office
any attorney and counsellor-at-law admitted to practice who is guilty of
professional misconduct, malpractice, fraud, deceit, crime or
misdemeanor, or any conduct prejudicial to the administration of
justice;

While this will probably never happen, there is zero legal precedence for her actions - at least that I could find or have ever heard of.

That article didn't say, but I see elsewhere that the indictment was dismissed without prejudice. So a new indictment can be made...once the prosecutor gives it to a mostly nigger grand jury that will save a "brutha" from evil YT oppression.
