His work is considered righteous by the Vatican and he was made a saint a few years ago. The natives of course are pissed, and his statues have been vandalized and toppled.

Me personally, I believe a person should worship whoever they want, even rocks and the sky, as long as they don't hurt anyone. Just no devil worship, and therefore, no nigger worship.

I've always felt that way. Actually, worshipping the very things that sustain you, tangible things like land, water, forest, and animals makes a lot more sense to me than going around threatening to call down the wrath of an invisible entity on those who don't agree with you. MYOB.
