A 'terrifying' rapist strangled a woman unconscious and left her bleeding from both eyes after she rejected him.

Yonattan Aroldy Gonzalez Pineda, 33, choked his victim after she told him there was no romantic connection between the two.

He then proceeded to rape her when she awoke and held the 29-year-old victim against her will for three hours in Tottenham on June 23 last year.

The woman was left with bruises to her face and knees, as well as bleeding from both eyes and was only able to escape after having sex with Gonzalez Pineda.

Following the strangling, Pineda then asked: “Do you feel the connection now?”

The offence of unlawful wounding relates to an incident where Gonzalez Pineda attacked a woman with a glass bottle outside a bar in Southwark, leaving her with swelling and cuts to her face in November 2019.

Gonzalez Pineda, of no fixed address, will be sentenced at the same court on May 28.
