When I was in infantry school, digging in was an important skill, and we used an E-tool to do it with. Despite not having a real shovel, I got my hole done in short order, where others did not. You could tell that most of the blacks never did manual labor before, and it showed. The NCOs started reaming us out, then saw my textbook foxhole. Then they wanted to know why Private Cizzums could dig like a farmer, despite being a NY piece of shit. They tortured the bad diggers for a week straight after that, and I was now called "Farmer". I took that as a compliment. I'm old now, but I still dig like a farmer.
