      Burglary in Middletown ends with one man dead after homeowner fires shots; 2 charged


      Middletown Police say what started out as a burglary ended when the homeowner fired shots, leaving one suspect dead.

      Investigators say Jonathon Oatneal, Andrew Roberts and a third man who is identified as Joshua Oatneal broke into a home on Aspen Drive late Wednesday night.

      Two men facing murder charges after homeowner shoots and kills Middletown man


      An investigation determined that three people, Joshua Oatneal, his brother Jonathon Oatneal Jr., 23, and Andrew Roberts, 22, went to a residence in the 2600 block of Aspen Drive to commit a burglary, according to police.
      During the burglary the homeowner shot Joshua Oatneal. The other two men took him to the hospital and left. They were spotted a short time later in the city, and both are charged with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated burglary.

      That's one thing I've always loved about our laws. If you commit a crime you are responsible for whatever else happens during the commission of the crime even if neither you nor any of your partners actually pulled the trigger.

      If this had happened in California or New York the homeowner would have been arrested and charged with murder, under the No Mammy Ought Need To Fear Her Good Boy Gon' Git Hisself Kilt When He Robs Whitey law. The other two niggers would be given Good Citizen medals for dropping Daid Oatmeal off at the hospital.
