Authorities say Jaydon Dancy was hit by an inbound MBTA commuter rail train on Lawrence Street about 8:05 p.m. Friday. Investigators believe the Carlton Innovation School fifth grader, who had been hanging out with a group of others boys at a nearby park, “was crossing the tracks to retrieve his bicycle” when he was hit by the locomotive. A preliminary investigation indicates the boy’s death was “a tragic accident,” Essex District Attorney spokeswoman Carrie Kimball Monahan said.
