Leaked Emails Show That FBC Naples’ Members Had Serious Concerns About Marcus Hayes’ Biblical Qualifications

Reformation Charlotte has been covering the story Marcus Hayes’ rejection as lead pastor of First Baptist Church in Naples, FL where he received only 81% of the required 85% vote to secure the position. In light of his rejection, several prominent and outspoken Southern Baptist leaders have accused that 19% of members who voted against Hayes of “racism” and “white supremacy.” In our first article, we predicted that these accusations were patently false, and our second post, we received corroborating evidence that the search committee had a history of corruption and possibly acted the same way this time.
Now, after being contacted by several members of the church who voted “no” to Hayes as lead pastor, Reformation Charlotte now has copies of the emails sent to members of the church by the concerned party prior to the vote that detail the concerns of these members — and these concerns are VERY legitimate.

Yeah, these emails were soooooo raycissss. They basically don't want this nigger and his views on Kamala Harris, reparations, intersectionality, Critical Race theory and Eric Mason’s “woke church”.

It’s not news that bureaucrats like Russell Moore and the Soros Evangelicals who now control the Southern Baptist Convention, the country’s largest Protestant denomination, have adopted one Leftist PC agenda item after another, not least on immigration and “diversity.” But now patriots in local churches are fighting back—and the bureaucrats and allies in local churches are moving to crush them.

The First Baptist Church in Naples FL [Twitter] recently began hiring a new pastor. Eventually, the congregation’s leaders and search committee put black pastor Marcus Hayes up for a vote. According to Naples First Baptist’s rules, an applicant must receive 85 percent. Hayes received only 81 percent, 1,552 yes, 365 no. So he didn’t get the job.

Hardly surprising. An email circulating among dissidents before the vote expressed concern that Hayes supports Kamala Harris, reparations, intersectionality, Critical Race theory and Eric Mason’s “woke church” concept [Leaked Emails Show That FBC Naples’ Members Had Serious Concerns About Marcus Hayes’ Biblical Qualifications, by Jeff Maples, Reformation Charlotte, November 2, 2019]. He was simply too Leftist for a significant group in the FBCN congregation.

Good riddance, nigger.

Black Pastor Candidate Withdraws After Controversial Vote at SBC Megachurch

black Southern Baptist minister has withdrawn his name from further consideration at the Florida megachurch that failed last month to achieve the supermajority vote required to call him as pastor, sparking accusations of racism from within and outside the congregation.

First Baptist Church of Naples, Florida, announced yesterday in an email to members that Marcus Hayes “has asked that his name be removed from consideration to be our next Senior Pastor.” The email, signed by the congregation’s eight-member senior pastor search team, called the withdrawal of Hayes’ candidacy “a major disappointment to several thousand members and supporters of First Baptist.”
