A 13-year-old boy is among 10 people arrested after a police officer in the U.K. was murdered while responding to a reported burglary.

Constable Andrew Harper, 28, was killed around 11:30 p.m. local time Thursday in Berkshire, southeast England, Thames Valley Police said Friday.

Thames Valley Police Chief Constable John Campbell said Harper was out of his patrol car when he was “dragged along by a vehicle.”

Details of the people arrested were not released aside from their age.

“Those arrested are all male and aged between 13 and 30,” said Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Blaik.

Harper had only married four weeks ago, according to police. He and his wife Lissie had been due to go on their honeymoon in a few days, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The opposition Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn said the officer’s death reflected a growth in violent crime in Britain.

“The use of knives, the use of machetes, the use of guns in crime has got to end and it does mean there has to be more police officers available to support people going through these sort of dangers,” he told the BBC.

I'm sure that's a coincidence and has nothing to do with the invasion of muzzies and Africoons, although knives and machetes are their weapons of choice. Do nothing, ignore it all and keep sending more police out unarmed to face the savage horde.
