UPDATE: Jaylen Ryle, 18, was charged Wednesday with murder in the Aug. 10 shooting of 17-year-old Connor Turner. Ryle told police he shot the teen at Penn Station in Lawrence in self-defense, according to court documents in the case.https://www.indystar.com/story/news/...le/1990549001/Surveillance video captured the confrontation in the store, according to court documents. Ryle entered the store, walks toward the fountain drink machines and then goes to the counter to place a food order, according to the documents.
Another person, whose name is redacted in the court documents, then approaches Ryle, and they begin exchanging words. Seconds later, Ryle fires multiple shots.

In response, prosecutors say Ryle turned around and started shooting at Turner. The affidavit claims, “Video shows Ryle firing multiple shots into Turner as Turner was attempting to run away.”
“They’re relying really on a video and video never tells the whole story,” said defense attorney David Hennessy.
Ryle’s attorney insists his client used the deadly force inside the sandwich shop to protect himself and criticized prosecutors for filing the murder charge.
