One lawyer hit another in the head with an aerosol can Wednesday in an assault that left a pool of blood in a conference room at the Hall of Justice.
Attorney Lindsey Scott, an ex-Marine, was charged with second-degree assault of attorney James “J.R.” Moore.
Moore was sitting in a third-floor conference room when Scott entered and they got into a fight, according to Lt. Col. Carl Yates, a spokesman for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Scott hit Moore with a Lysol can, according to his arrest slip. A deputy heard someone yelling for help, court records show, and soon found Moore restraining Scott, both men covered in blood.
Both attorneys were taken to the hospital, Moore for lacerations he suffered from the blow, and Scott because he complained of chest pains, said Yates, who said he didn’t know what caused the conflict.
