      DILLON COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – The caretaker of an elderly woman who went missing for four days has been charged with lying to police.

      According to Latta Police Chief Derrick Cartwright, 62-year-old Liliah Smith provided information which led officers to believe Jaxie Rogers, 85, disappeared from the Latta IGA parking lot in a white Buick Lacrosse on June 7.

      The earlier story went by the nigger sow's lie. It was probably getting its weave or paws done while it was supposed to be watching the woman.

      Tough lady, dementia and yet she survived like that.

      Rogers was found around 11:30 a.m. about a half-mile from her vehicle in a densely-wooded area beside the Lumber River. Authorities said Rogers traveled through areas of high water during her journey.
