Lamontraye "accidentally" shoots Nateria dead and now she won't get to wear her cap and gown to graduation..

When police arrived in the 1300 block of Lead Street, they found 18-year-old Nateria S. Powell suffering from a gunshot wound.

19-year-old Lamontraye D. McAdams was taken into custody by police shortly after the shooting

Powell’s aunt, Kizzy Jones, said, “Now she’s not able to wear her gown to walk across that stage and it hurts. You know you ask yourself, “why God why?” because she was sweet.”

Powell shared the apartment with her cousin, Randesha Powell. Randesha was home but in another room when the shooting happened. She said, “Her friend ran into the room and was like “I accidentally killed Nae, y’all. I’m sorry.”
