A nogg shot and kilt near his northeast Charlotte home early Tuesday morning has been identified by police as 53-year-old Carnis Ferdinand Poindexter.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say Poindexter was shot in the 8300 block of Highlander Court just before 3 a.m. Police believe Poindexter was shot in the street before running to his front porch, where he was found and pronounced good by Medic.

The city’s first homeycide of the new year occurred shortly after 3 a.m. today when police said an adult nigger buck was shot to death on Johnston Road in the Dirty Dot a.k.a Dorchester, where a New Year’s Eve party was in full swing.
Boston Police Department spokeswoman Officer Kim Tavares said it’s unclear if the victim, who is believed to be in his early 30s, was shot inside or outdoors. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital, she said.
“There are no suspects. It’s an ongoing investigation,” Tavares said. “Detectives are still interviewing witnesses.”
A woman who answered the door at the house where the party took place declined to comment.
Other residents said it was a quiet neighborhood.
Boston grappled with 56 murders in 2018, down one from 57 in 2017, according to the police department’s year-end crime statistics released today.
