The pair in their late teens were rushed to Liverpool Hospital after the stabbing at Bankstown station's taxi rank just before 7.15pm on Thursday.

One of the boys had multiple stab wounds to his torso and the other a minor single wound to his groin area. Their conditions were not yet known.

The teens described their attacker as a man of Mediterranean or Middle Eastern appearance wearing a grey Adidas-brand hoodie, black track pants, and joggers.

He may be with three women wearing dark-coloured clothing.
