The Ocala Star-Banner reports that 23-year-old Kiila Richardson, 20-year-old Travis Davis, 22-year-old Branden Banks and 21-year-old Kelvon Grimmage were found guilty Friday of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.

After jurors announced the verdict, the newspaper reports that Davis punched his defense attorney in the head, and Grimmage joined in. Deputies used their stun guns and tackled the defendants to the floor.

Taken into custody on a charge of first-degree murder was Kiila Richardson, 21. The young man, dressed in short jean shorts, a T-shirt and tennis shoes, said, “No,” when a reporter asked if he was involved in any shooting. He was being led to a waiting police cruiser.
The woman said she was told one of the intruders had put a gun to the head of the little girl and told her to close her eyes.

OPD officials said Richardson and the other suspects — 20-year-old Kelvon Grimmage, 20-year-old Branden J.M. Banks and 18-year-old Travis J. “Trap” Davis — have violent criminal histories.

Detectives said they are suspected in other crimes committed in Marion and Alachua counties.
