Philadelphia's police commissioner has abruptly resigned following allegations he ignored harassment claims from two women serving in his department because one broke off a two-year affair with him in 2011.
Commissioner Richard Ross Jr resigned on Tuesday following the lawsuit filed by Corporal Audra McCowan and Officer Jennifer Allen, who both allege their harassment complaints were ignored.
Allen says that while she was a nursing mother, her breast milk was stolen from a police department refrigerator, presumably by a perverted fellow cop, according to the federal complaint reviewed by DailyMail.com.
Both women say they endured groping, verbal harassment and racial discrimination in the workplace, and McCowan claims that Ross dismissed her complaints in retribution for her breaking off an extramarital affair with him.
