What offends me more about this "person's" tweet isn't the use of Neo-Marxist rhetoric but the fact that they clearly do not understand diabetes. Had they limited their commentary to Type 1 (which is caused by a defective pancreas) I would have agreed. Generally Type 1 is diagnosed in Juvaniles and is almost always congenital. Type 2 however is acquired and is usually the result of poor diet.
