Tani made national headlines in 2019 when he was living in a homeless shelter and won the New York state chess championship for his age group.
Tani's family left northern Nigeria in 2017 as refugees and moved to New York City, the New York Times reported. While his family lived in a homeless shelter, Tani learned to play chess at school.

I posted about this a couple of years ago. It was BS then and it's bigger BS now. Let's do some simple math, shall we? Elementary schools get out at 3, so if the niglet "practiced" for 10 hours, that's until 1 in the morning.
I've been known to play a decent game, and I could probably beat the niglet. Then it would start chimping out, jumping up and down on a chair, complaining I'm older and should be able to beat it. Then what about the older ones it supposedly beat?
