hmmmm we use millimeter sized semiconductor resistors now. So, you'll have to switch out that resistor with a black square.
Yes but surface mount RE resistors are not as recognizable and wouldn't be as funny. Plus they also come in blue and green :) The boards that are in the units I test & repair are mostly RE99-XXXXF. You would be surprised how much military and even current aviation still uses through hole. Though now they don't have color codes anymore.
