They are a stupid breed. We would do parachute resupplies in the military where us as engineers would go in and clear out a DZ and mark it using bright orange Vs-17 panels to designate the center. When the DC10 or C-130 came thru and shit started falling from the sky the last place you wanted to be was running toward it. It drops deceptively fast and while you think you are safe... keep ready to run the other way.

Think of all the Western countries that have conducted successful airlifts, especially in Berlin. Americans, Brits, Canadians too?
