This nigger was no more in charge of this company than I am. This long legged running nigger sold it's name for a few bucks to a scam company run by another nigger shyster named Ed Welburn who failed at GM so he got into this scam. This company was destined for failure from the start. The whole concept was designed to look good on paper to the tree hugger investors who were bilked for money by a company that had no intention of actually making a profit from customers but from investors instead. If the bike does make it to the destination, the closest charge station may be blocks away still, so there is no incentive to return the bike. Seriously, why would anyone charge them for reuse when they take 12 hours to charge to ride for 12 minutes because the battery is not properly maintained? Ever used a cordless drill constantly to see how long it last vs. charge time? Same damn results.
Either way, the bike is laid down in front of business, peoples yards or thrown into dumpsters and is not plugged back up to a charger for anyone else to use. There's also the idea that a bike seat is riding up into your crotch and may have had a whore dripping on it right before you rented it. Who really wants that? Are your going to disinfect that seat before you mount it?
Right now, NOLA is littered with these stupid bikes. They are everywhere except in racks or being charged. They are thrown into the river, dumpsters, scrapped for parts or vandalized and are a general nuisance to the entire city.
When people finally wake up and see how stupid the idea of electric vehicles really is, it will be too late. Billions will have been lost by easily manipulated morons who will find out that their car that they were so proud of when they bought it 2 years prior (and still owe for half it's purchase price) is now worthless due to a dead battery. The maximum number of charging cycles for a Lithium battery pack is still well under 1000 cycles and that is under perfect charge / discharge cycling conditions and perfect environmental conditions. That's right, the same rules for your cell phone batteries still apply to your car. Never let the battery get below 20% or plug it in until it is below 80% charged. Imagine having to do this with a gasoline engine. Never top your tank for a trip and never let it get below a quarter of a tank or you damage the engine. Who would do this?
Good luck with all that. Your car is now 3 years old, a battery pack is 10 grand, and the resale value on your car is less than the replacement battery. You must now take out another loan just to get a replacement battery pack. The same is true no matter the platform. Whether it's a bike, scooter, car or truck, the buyer is screwed.
In the meantime, the environment is being destroyed to strip mine lithium. That's OK. NIMBY, right liberals? Battery packs are not recyclable so they end up stacked up in the desert since they can't legally put them in landfills. The cars are also now derelicts, unusable for any other purpose. Very little of their materials can be recycled due to the necessarily lightweight composites (which added to the price) required to extend range. Just like your precious windmill blades, they will be buried whole in giant landfills - that is, if they don't burst into flames first after a crash, a short, or for windmills, a lightning strike or a nonextinguishable electrical fire at 40 stories high.
Your phone is obsolete after 3 years. Now so is your car. So is your solar farm powering your neighborhood. Congratulations. You've all been had.
