Thank's for the hint - I completely forgot to look there! I just remembered archive.org when I was searching for the "Erectus" book. There are many good things to find at archive.org, but they as well start to delete "wrong" sites.

I have no idea, since I discovered chimpout.org just recently as well. But when .org was down last fall, I came upon the .com site as well. I didn't join them, just lurked a little bit, but somehow I didn't like the general attitude at the .com site. Can't exactly explain why.

I want to see writers express themselves about Africans as they saw them especially in the native environments.

Cheers lads.
Albert Schweitzer said that in his "Afrikanisches Tagebuch" (African Diary. 1961):
"I gave my life to try to alleviate the suffering of Africa. There is something that all white males who have lived here, like me, need to learn and know: that these individuals are a sub-race. They do not have the intellectual, spiritual, or psychic abilities to equate or share with white males in any capacity of our civilization.
For whenever a white man seeks to live among them as an equal, they will either destroy him or devour him. And they will destroy all his work.”
Another one who loathed niggers (and he had experience with them, e.g. Alexandre Dumas) was Napoleon Bonaparte. (Sorry, I can't provide sources here, because I am abroad and don't have access to my stuff at home. But read his war memories, and his Egypt stuff.)

Voltaire was a big nigger 'lover' as well, he on several occasions described them exactly as they are, he'd probably be a chimpout member today :
"Leurs yeux ronds, leur nez épaté, leurs lèvres toujours grosses, leurs oreilles différemment figurées, la laine de leur tête, la mesure même de leur intelligence, mettent entre eux et les autres espèces d’hommes des différences prodigieuses"

Translation:
Their round eyes, their flattened nose, their lips which are always large, their differently shaped ears, the wool of their head, that very measure of their intelligence, place prodigious differences between them and the other species of men.
Source: http://books.google.com/books?id=Xqo...Ss9e3-Bg&hl=el

"Et ils n’ont d’homme que la stature du corps, avec la faculté de la parole et de la pensée dans un degré très éloigné du nôtre. Tels sont ceux que j’ai vus et examinés"

Translation:
And they are not men, except in their stature, with the faculty of speech and thought at a degree far distant to ours. Such are the ones that I have seen and examined.
Source: http://books.google.com/books?id=NRN...kygHLHgido0iaw

"Et on peut dire que si leur intelligence n’est pas d’une autre espèce que notre entendement, elle est fort inférieure. Ils ne sont pas capables d’une grande attention; ils combinent peu, et ne paraissent faits ni pour les avantages ni pour les abus de notre philosophie"

Translation:
And one could say that if their intelligence is not of another species than ours, then it is greatly inferior. They are not capable of paying much attention; they mingle very little, and they do not appear to be made either for the advantages or the abuses of our philosophy.

"C'est une grande question parmi eux s'ils son descendus des singes, ou si les singes sont venus d'eux. Nos sages ont dit que l'homme est l'image de Dieu: voilà une plaisante image de l'Etre éternel qu'un nez noir épaté, avec peu ou point d'intelligence! Un temps viendra, sans doute, où ces animaux sauront bien cultiver la terre, l'embellir par des maisons et par des jardins, et connaître la route des astres. Il faut du temps pour tout."

Translation:
And it is a big question whether among them they are descendants of monkeys, or if monkeys come from them. Our wise men have said that man is the image of God: behold a pleasant image of the eternal Being with a flat black nose, with little or no intelligence! A time will come, without a doubt, when these animals will know how to cultivate the earth well, to embellish it with houses and gardens, and to know the routes of the stars. Time is a must, for everything.

Che Guevara, the darling of the left drug & soy guzzling kiddies lived in Africa for a few years as well. His conclusion:
"The black man is sluggish and lazy - and spends his money on frivolities. While the European is forward looking and intelligent”.

And there are so many more! Neither the Greeks, nor the Romans (hint: Caesar ), nor the Egypts, nor the pre 1950 European whites did hold back with their opinion, you just have to search for it. BUT: Google/Internet is not a great help (same is true for e.g. the world wars), you simply won't find most of the "good stuff" (things the left don't want you to know) online. You have to go to a university library and read some books.

Another good read is Richard Fuerles "Erectus Walks Amongst Us", you can even get that for free at the internet archive:

OP here thank you for the responses. I've seen similar splits with other sites so it all makes sense to me. I find this site to be comfier (or homier lol) and I like the regulars here.

Thanks Jenkem for the attachments I will pore over them as soon as they are approved.

Ok, question #1: .com is a site put together by former members of .org, the ORIGINAL Chimpout before it was shut down, Shitskin Plantation and Dindu Plantation. Many of us here are members on both sites and have friends there. That happened because:
A: .org went down and not knowing that it was only temporary, joined .com and then came back here, and:
B: Most of us old tymey Chimpers from the Original Chimpout, Dindu and Shitskin Plantation (like myself) have friends at .com who are from the Original Chimpout. I personally, as part of the staff here at .org CANNOT be a member of the .com site. YOU (if you should decide to join) and Trustees on down, may cross pollinate all you want.
Some people here do not like the .com site because of a falling out between admins. I do not know the details there, nor would I speak of them if I did. Some people here do not like .com because , well, they just don't like it because they say it doesn't feel as "homey" ("homey" as in comfortable, not "homey" as in "muh fellow nigger down the skreet") as .org.
So we here at .org LIMIT any conversation about .com, and we do not bad-mouth them. I hope this answers your question to your satisfaction.

Question #2: SORRY! Can't help you there. But it DOES bear looking into! THANX!

Two questions

1. What is the relation of this site to CO dot com? Do people cross-post on borh sites?

2. Can anyone guide me towards depictions of Africans by older cultures eg China, Greece, Rome, Russia or even more modern/European ones such as colonists and explorers. I saw Albert Schweitzers notebook mentioned and looked for it but to no avail.
