There are lots of ways to stay anonymous. Grab an email you can use that is not attached to your identity at all. There are some legitimate VPN services out there as well.

I see a cottage industry coming g out of all these ventilations. Family members who know one of their brethren is about to commit a crime calling the cops with tips and adding that the perpetrator is "armed and dangerous," hates the police and really hopes to take out some cops before ending its miserable life.
