CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) — The Miami-Dade Police Department said Sunday that the gunman who opened fire at a Florida gym was an employee at the fitness center who had just been terminated.

The department issued a statement identifying the shooter as 33-year-old Abeku Wilson of Miami, who was fired from the gym Saturday "due to work place violence and was escorted off the premises."

Equinox issued an email statement Sunday saying that it is "deeply saddened" by the deaths of two employees, 35-year-old Janine Ackerman of Miami and 42-year-old Marios Hortis of Miami Beach.

Police said both victims were deliberately targeted and that the shooting was not random.

This is why you should never hire niggers.

Or do business with them, or hire them or breed with them or even let them drive your car. It will never end well.

Self-deletes.

The gunman shot two people — the gym’s general manager, Janine Ackerman, 35, and fitness manager Marios Hortis, 42 — and himself. Ackerman later died at a hospital, according to a law-enforcement source.

Wilson seemed highly conscious about his image and maintained an active account on Instagram. He posted photos of himself lifting weights, practicing martial arts and holding trophies from bodybuilding competitions. In other photos he is pictured smiling with family members and his dog, Zeus.

The dog could be heard barking inside Wilson’s apartment near Dadeland Mall on Saturday afternoon after the shooting took place.

I always worried about this when I used to push people for a living. I thought that one day one of the coons I canned would come back to haunt me. My briefcase would never pass a sniffer or metal detector. I remember a TSA search for bombs because I carried a pistol in the brief case coming home from the range and the machines detected the nitrates from the burnt powder although the pistol was removed long before the trip. I missed my flight that day because of the search and probably have a tab bent on my file for some watch list.

I'm glad my traveling days are over because I never cherished the thought some blue gum with a TSA uniform was my last line of defense in getting on a plane with ass lifters carrying explosives.
