On Saturday, March 8, 2025 at approximately 7:52pm, the Bowie County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from the Family Dollar Store in Maud TX. The caller reported an armed robbery had just occurred and one of the store clerks had been shot.

Deputies arrived to find Denyle K. Pierce, 47 yrs old of Maud TX, deceased from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Store surveillance cameras captured the event and provided deputies with an accurate description of the suspect’s clothing that was very unique. We're getting to the point that if a store worker is alone, and a nigger comes in, the worker needs to call 911 immediately. Once upon a time, niggers knew their place and didn't dare whistle at a white woman. And in the rare case a nigger forgot its place and killed a human, a full court proceeding was swift and sure. I've told the story before of a retail store that I closed up at night. I was frequently alone for the last while, and even if I wasn't, the others would leave, and I'd be the one to lock up and close the cash registers.
