Bates reportedly kept getting frustrated and eventually threatened to blow up the victim's oxygen tank, so the man quickly unhooked his machine. Bates allegedly picked up the tank and slammed it onto the ground, causing it to leak. Witnesses said that Bates then attempted to light a garbage bin on fire, per the report.
Bates also allegedly threatened the victim with a knife, which police found on her person when arresting her.
