This is good news! Finally Michigan has signed a new law that should’ve been in place eons ago. Michigan Republican Gov. Rick Snyder signed legislation Tuesday making female genital mutilation a felony in Michigan. From The Blaze Female genital mutilation, or FGM, is seen as a religious ritual in some Muslim communities*and is practiced primarily in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. While the practice varies, it typically involves mutilating or removing portions of female genitalia in order to prevent sexual pleasure.
