I was a big fan of the S&W Model 29 back in the day, shooting thousands of carefully constructed handloads through
my 4" version. I still have my Safariland shoulder rig, which is perfect for vehicular nigger patrols.

S&W literally invented the magnum revolver, starting with the 357 Model 27. Those things are +P rated workhorses. Hunter S Thompson owned and liked carrying a Model 29, too.
