These headlines make me laugh but then shake my head.
Monday was a wild night for Bachelor Nation as the finale of The Bachelor did not end in an engagement. It all started when Matt James was having second thoughts about proposing to either Michelle Young or Rachael Kirkconnell. Matt ended up telling Michelle that he was having doubts and that he didn't think he "could get there" with her. Matt left Michelle upset and in tears in her room. "My objective tonight wasn't to hurt Michelle," Matt said, "It's to be honest with her, and I owe her that."

During Monday night's finale, Bachelor Nation watched as James chose Kirkconnell over Michelle Young to receive his final rose. However, James didn't propose as expected — instead, he asked Kirkconnell to continue their relationship, saying that he was not prepared to get engaged, following a frank conversation with his mother.
James told Kirkconnell he loved her, adding that he could see her as his wife and mother of his children.
"When I think about the life I want to live, I think about living that life with you," he said. "I want to leave here with you and connect."

When Michelle Young leads The Bachelorette, she will be only the third Black woman to do so after the back-to-back Rachel Lindsay and Tayshia Adams, a last-minute replacement for Clare Crawley after she got engaged mid-season.

So wait a minute. The show is about a bunch of gold-diggers competing (sleeping with, or muh poosaying as the case may be) for a bachelor that's supposedly rich. It's been shown that they are far from what they claim to be.
