Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be subjected to a permanent ban from the British royal family for their flagrant flouting of royal protocols, the Daily Star reports.
Royal expert Howard Hogson has also opined that such a permanent banishment could become all the more inevitable should Meghan Markle in particular make any kind of public statement related to the Trump-supporting mob that stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6.
Given Meghan Markle’s previous forays into overt expressions of political advocacy — which is verboten among members of the royal family — she may not be able to restrain herself from speaking out about the chaotic insurrection and could thus find herself permanently banned by Queen Elizabeth II.
Previously, Meghan Markle infuriated fans of the Queen for making a public statement that appeared to endorse Joe Biden for president during the lead-up to the November U.S. election. Such devotees of the monarch demanded that she strip Harry and his wife of their royal titles, if not slap them with a permanent ban.
Hogson suggested that Megan Markle may be so compelled to speak out against Trump in the wake of the riot and his permanent ban from Twitter that she will overlook her duty to protect her husband.
“If she really loved Harry in the same way that he apparently does her, then she should surely take this into account, however, I fear that she won’t,” he said.
Harry sacrificed everything for Aunt Jemima, and now she is going to make him the shame of the royal family.
Disgraceful.
