NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- Demonstrators planned a day of action Friday to protest the MTA's plan to add 500 new police officers to the New York City subway system.
Several incidents of vandalism were reported during the morning commute, though none of them affected service.
There were reports of emergency exits being chained open, glue being placed in MetroCard readers, and liquid being sprayed on OMNY readers.
Banners were also unfurled in Brooklyn and at the World Trade Center Oculus promoting the protests, called "(Expletive) Your $2.75," with organizers saying the goal is to remove officers from the subway system and provide for free transit.
The protests started after the arrest of a 15-year-old in Downtown Brooklyn that was caught on camera.
They say the added police are targeting minor crimes in the city's subways and are discriminatory against minorities.

The New York City police union warned the public about a rowdy demonstration promised by antifa against the city’s public transportation police.
In a video posted online, three masked antifa members alerted their followers of a protest planned for Jan. 31. The three men asked followers to gather in the subway to protest its law enforcement and its ticket prices.
“We encourage you to link up with your friends, your family, and think of the ways you can move in affinity to build and f--- shit up on J31 [Jan. 31] all day long,” the masked leader said. He later added, “The mood for J31 is simple: F--- your $2.75, no cops in the MTA, free transit, no harassment, period, and full accessibility.”

Let's get this straight: niggers do far more than 13% of NY crime (more like 90% when you include one-drop spiggers), their "protests" mean the usual fare evasion and vandalism, and the niggers' solution is to remove all law enforcement and let them ride for free. Could you imagine, no subway car, platform or stairs would be safe again, nowhere. By the time any cops got anywhere, the criminals would be long gone. It was bad enough under Bloomberg, when a nigger could smoke in the subway 50 feet from cops, and I couldn't get the cops to do anything. The lazy cops wouldn't consider it worth the trouble to tell a nigger to move on, and good cops know writing a ticket wouldn't do anything.
So what's that teenaper incident that has the niggers especially riled up? Guess what, more TNB that niggers started, and after the police come in to restore law and order, a resisting arrest dindu gets hit and now wants nigger lotto.
The second incident involved two groups of teenagers who were said to have been fighting on the platform.
In the course of breaking up the fight, a police officer was caught on camera punching two black teens.
One of the teens was 15-year-old Benjamin Marshall, who was punched in the face. His lawyer said his family intends to file a $5million lawsuit against the officer and the NYPD.
