Not even a Taser could quell Mubashar Hussain as he struggled with cops and rushed to a police BMW before mowing down Pc Gareth Phillips as he fled.
He had been stopped in the driver's seat of a stolen Range Rover Evoque in Moorcroft Rad, Moseley, at around 4.45pm on August 10.
But after breaking free from the officers and hitting Pc Phillips, the 29-year-old drove dangerously towards Sparkbrook, where he dumped the car and was arrested.
The officer suffered "life-changing" injuries, including a shattered pelvis.
